Ultimate Wolverine creators Chris Condon and Alessandro Cappuccio will reunite for Bruce Banner's post-Infernal Hulk series, releasing for free on May 1, aka Comics Giveaway Day.
September is Big Event month at DC Comics, and they crushed it this September as they usually do with their super lenticular covered Future's End event which saw stand-alone stories set five years in the future of the DCU. These "random future" events usually disappoint me as I expect to see the Flash living with is brother in law and their two kids, and Poison Ivy running a plant shop, but then, that's me. Anyway, Multiversity talked to a bunch of retailers about how the event did compared to last year's Villain's month which was allocated and ignited a frenzy as they say. Most retailers I've talked to say it was okay but not great and the Multiversity survey yielded similar thoughts. It is a sad time when a Batman butt selfie only does okay but these are the times we live in.
Have you been reading Uncanny Avengers? You'll want to catch up on that before reading AXIS. I guess you probably ought to catch up on Magneto, too....
For years people have been saying "Why doesn't San Diego Clear Hall H between panels so people won't camp out all night and sit in the room all day just to see a panel at 7 and stink up the joint?" The CCI folks have considered this, but rejected the idea, as David Glanzer explained when I interviewed him for the More To Come podcast a few months back. One of the main reasons was that they didn't know where to line people up.
NYCC's Main Stage (Formerly the IGN Theater) isn't as big as Hall H -- it seats about 3000 people to Hall H's 6000, so lining them up isn't quite as hard —but getting in is just harder since it's smaller. So this year, finally, NYCC is doing the unthinkable and will institue room clearing and wristbands. You can read the whole policy here but it runs to more than 1000 words, so here's the outline:
Mulching, blunders and barbarian action. Groo is eternal and Groo is back with Groo: Friends and Foes, a year long series by Mark Evanier and Sergio Aragones, Stan Sakai and Tom Luth, the same team that's been turning out this book since the 80s. In the first issues, Groo meets Captain Ahax, the seaman with the world record for most ships sunk. It's a safe asumption that all hell will break loose from that point on.
The first trailer for Criminal, the Prime Video series based on the comic by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, starring Charlie Hunnam, Adria Arjona, Emilia Clarke, and more, has revealed it will be released in two halves in January 2027.
During NYCC, Neckwav, the singing voice of Abby in the film, and Emmy-nominated actor/producer and talent manager and producer Rich Ting shared their thoughts and insights on the hit animated film
Writer Dustin Brady and artist Dave Bardin will adapt Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots into a junior graphic novel series, debuting from Mattel Press in Summer 2027.
