Today, Mattel Creations has announced an exciting San Diego Comic-Con 2026 exclusive, which brings musical superstar Cyndi Lauper into the WWE action figure line. Celebrating the 1980s “Rock ‘N’ Wrestling” era, the WWE Elite 3-pack also includes figures of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

The action figure 3-pack specifically commemorates Lauper’s iconic appearance on “Piper’s Pit,” an interview segment hosted by Piper which ran from 1984 to 1987, briefly returning in 1989 and 2003. One of the most memorable moments from Piper’s Pit came from Lauper’s appearance on May 29th, 1984.
At the outset of this entry of the Piper’s Pit, Piper was under the impression that Lauper’s manager was Albano. When Lauper said Albano wasn’t her manager, Piper asked if she was calling Albano a liar. Next Albano joined Lauper and Piper on the stage and claimed credit for discovering Lauper and catapulting her to stardom. From there Albano further escalated, claiming credit for writing the lyrics to “Time After Time” and stating, “no woman has ever accomplished anything without a man behind her.”

Piper and Albano continued to push Lauper, who made an admiral effort to set the record straight using just her words. But eventually, even an iconic pop star will be pushed too far, and she eventually loses her cool, flipping the table and attacking both men. You can watch the segment for yourself on the WWE’s official website.
And soon you’ll be able to bring the moment home yourself thanks to the SDCC exclusive action figure 3-pack. The set will be available at Mattel’s SDCC merch booth beginning Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, and for those who aren’t attending the show (or just find the queue at the booth too daunting), it will also be available at the Mattel Creations website.
