Dorkly is a sister site of College Humor that offers a lot of comics and gaming-related humor, but in a positive, not mean spirited, way. They're ramping up a lot of their offerings including launching a a series of events based around nerd-centric gatherings. One of the first is the Dorkly Fan Art Expo , where fan art will be displayed at C2E2 April 25-27.

With ECCC only a dwindling memory and a box of kleenex from the con crud everyone caught, C2E2 is bearing down on us on April 25-27. Chicago's biggest comics event will have the usual line-up of guests from all areas of the industry. However, the website panel listings don't allow you to see the whole thing at one, but courtesy of ReedPOP's Marykate Nagourney, here is the whole list of programming in an easy to find way. Highlights include a storytelling panel with Amanda Conner and Cully Hamner, Mark Waid on his digital and retailing exploits, Christina Blanch and Carol Tilley on various comics and academics topics, and the usual MArvel, DC, Dark Horse, Boom and so on panels

Hawthorne High School Comic Convention is back on May 10th

Hawthorne High School in New Jersey has been throwing a comic con for seven years, and thanks to the help of art teacher Alan Rosenberg's great contacts, they always have a stellar line-up of great cartoonists. This year's show, to be held May 10th, will be a Tribute to Joe Kubert, and I'm guessing it will be one of those small intimate shows that so many folks enjoy. Guests include Walt Simonson, Herb Trimpe, Joe Staton and more.

Another creepy camera crew was stalking cosplayers at London Super Comic Con

Another report of a bunch of youtube perverts harassing cosplayers while posing as a legitimate camera crew news outlet has emerged from London Super Comic Con, as reported by a cosplayer known as Lady Noctis. The event is similar to the one that took place at New York Comic Con last fall, with a camera crew asking women in costume to be interviewed and then asking them vulgar and harassing questions.
