Well, it's official, JOHN CARTER is being labeled a disaster, a flop, an "Ishtar" and anything else that signifies profit-and-loss ratio infamy. The media decided a while ago that this movie was going to be a disaster for Disney, and after finishing #2 for the weekend with barely $30 million—despite making over $100 million worldwide—every ill omen has been seen as sagacious. And the hate is baffling.
The John Carter (of Mars) Fan Trailer That Outdoes the Studio
We've all heard the stories about how John Carter isn't tracking well, leading up to the movie premiere. We've all shaken our heads at why they didn't title it "John Carter of Mars" or "Warlord of Mars." Well, there's another group of fans that did something a bit more proactive than just shaking their heads. They took the available footage online and re-cut it into a new trailer. Dare I say, I better trailer. Anybody else like this one better?

CONFIRMED: 'Comic-Con' doc's tour canceled before it began?
Just a few short, happy days ago, we announced the the long-awaited release of Comic-Con Episode IV -- A Fan's Hope, the Comic-Con documentary by Morgan Spurlock. The VOD release was to be accompanied by a limited theatrical release which would include mini comic-cons at each stop, with comic-con-y activities like exhibits, costume contests and so on.
Well, this rather mysterious item in the Sun-Sentinel states that the entire tour has been canceled:
