Cully Hamner working on something pretty cool for DC
Or so says this interview with The Square Peg Show from MegaCon. Hamner says he'll be working on something "pretty big" for DC and writing and drawing it. Which is good news because Cully Hamner is quality. Among his past work: design work for DC for years, RED, with Warren Ellis, and its spin-offs, The Question, The Shade, Animal Man, Action Comics, etc etc etc.
DC Comics Month-to Month Sales: February 2014—Forever Evil Slows The Pack
It's time once again to look at DC's sales figures.
Once again DC takes the top two slots on the Diamond sales charts. But February is a down month overall for the Diamond NA comics market, and DC follows suit. Forever Evil returns with a new issue in February, but both Sandman Overture and Superman Unchained are still MIA. When retailers tie up their order volume with large orders for comics that don't ship, that means fewer potential sales across the board.
Report: DC brain trust is moving west
CBR has a pretty confident report that four of DC's top brass will be moving to Cali when the big exodus happens in 2015: co-publisher Dan DiDio, editor-in-chief Bob Harras, Vertigo executive editor Shelly Bond and group editor Eddie Berganza. Even among those "in the know" confirmations of comings and goings have been hard to come by, although Berganza and DiDio always seemed like naturals. I never had any question that Bond would go because she's a trooper all the way. Harras has been a big question mark, but as far as I know, his kids are pretty grown up, which is usually a big factor in going westward ho or not.

DC Comics Month-to Month Sales: January 2014 — Meet the new guy!
Hi everyone! New guy, Dave Carter, here with the first DC sales charts of 2014. I have an introductory write-up down at the end of this column, but since you're all really here for the sales numbers, commentary and snark, let's get to it:
On the surface DC seemingly does well to start off the year, with their two premier Batman-starring titles in the #1 & #2 slots, and five of the top ten. But once you start looking a little deeper there is much to cause concern…
Three of DC's top selling titles, Forever Evil, Superman Unchained, and Sandman Overture, did not ship this month, contributing to the overall sales decline.
