Next week Archie Comics will release World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #13. The latest digest release includes a brand-new tale titled “What A Story!” starring Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, by writer & penciller Dan Parent, inker Bob Smith, colorist Glenn Whitmore, and letterer Jack Morelli. Today The Beat is pleased to present an exclusive first look at the story, which finds Sabrina getting into a bedtime story – literally – while babysitting.

Here’s how Archie describes World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #13’s new entry:

BRAND NEW STORY: “What a Story!” Sabrina the Teenage Witch has landed herself a very important job: as a babysitter! Sabrina, feeling a little under the weather, sneezes and accidentally sends the little girl she’s sitting into the storybook she was reading to her as a bedtime story! Will she and the little girl be able to escape Wonderland?!

Along with the new story, the new World of Betty & Veronica digest includes an assortment of reprinted classic stories, including another tale featuring Greendale’s resident teenaged magic-user. “The Court Jester” is written by Dick Malmgren, pencilled by Harry Lucey, inked by Marty Epp, and lettered by Bill Yoshida. The story features a rare crossover between Sabrina and the Riverdale gang, with Sabrina magically helping Archie find new confidence as a basketball star.

Sabrina’s profile in the Archieverse remains high, with the Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina having developed a cult-like following and the character played by Kiernan Shipka having recently appeared on the CW Riverdale series for a five-episode arc. Archie Comics also had Sabrina appear in new lead stories for all of their digests last fall.

Check out the two-page preview for “What A Story!”, as well as the full eight-page classic story “The Court Jester,” below. World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #13 is set to arrive in stores next Wednesday, March 9th.
