Next week, Archie Comics will release the Archie’s Valentine’s Spectacular one-shot. The new seasonal special features a new story, “Paths to the Heart,” which introduces a new trio of characters, Candies, Hearts, and Flowers – collectively known as the Spirits of Valentines. The story is written by Ian Flynn, pencilled by Holly G!, inked by Jim Amash, colored by Glenn Whitmore, and lettered by Jack Morelli. Ahead of the issue’s release, Archie has released a preview of the one-shot’s new story.

Introducing the new trio, Archie Comics has also revealed some design art for Candies, Hearts, and Flowers, as well as an information page from The Archie Encyclopedia about the three new creatures.
Along with a preview of the new story, The Beat is pleased to offer an exclusive complete look at one of the other, older stories included in the one-shot, one focused on the many love triangles of Riverdale. “3 Goes Into 3” is written and pencilled by Dan Parent, inked by Amash, colored by Whitmore, and lettered by Morelli.
