Marvel Month-to-Month Sales March 2015: War Of The Stars Women!
This months chart is rather quiet: there are very few changes in the way Marvel titles are ordered saleswise. We will soon enter a transition zone where most of the titles will disappear or shift toward a new direction (and a new renumbering, you can bet on that!). Meanwhile, two main things are happening in this month’s chart.
First, the Spider-Women titles are having an excellent month, lead by the amazing success of Spider-Gwen. For the second month in a row, her first issue reappears on the charts, selling twice as many copies as last month’s reordering! Second, the Star Wars line of titles is expending and still making tons of $$$ for Marvel. At this rate, expect a R2D2

DC’s Cinematic Universe has growing pains: “Kevin Feiges don’t grow on trees.”
Veteran industry reporter Kim Masters has a MUST READ piece in THR today about the state of superhero movies at WB. It seems that WB/DC's struggle to get parity in the superhero movie arena with the massive runaway TGV success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is not going all that great with a lot of cooks making different dinner plans. No fewer than FIVE scripts have been commissioned for Wonder Woman and three for Aquaman in what sounds like a directionless quest for something that works.
An insider says that have a "filmmaker-driven" agenda for making the 10 superhero movies planned for the rest of this decade. But that approach doesn't necessarily lead to the coherent universe that MCU fans seem to like:
Comic Book Heaven: meet the crankiest old comics shop owner maybe ever
Joe Leisner, the 80 year old former owner of Comic Book Heaven, a comics shop in Sunnyside Queens and the star of the above short film, is a character. An authentic New York character, as they say, and someone who's been running a comics shop for 50 years, long before it became fashionable. So long that having a Shrek poster hanging in his store, or pondering the price of an issue of Moby Duck is the same to him as the latest Convergence title. If you watched the film,, you'll definitely see a comics shop as it once was, and many still are: a little messy and timelost, a kingdom of ragged long boxes, but a friendly place for the regulars.
Exciting new comics site launches: Zco.mx, with Lasky, Langridge and dozens more
There are scores of great webcomics to read from indie cartoonists on these internets. There are also tons of great mini comics on sale from cartoonists at CAFs. But what if you can't get to a CAF or want a more curated portal to help you find good stuff? Zco.mx (pronounced zee·com·ics) is a new site that offers a curated list of cartoonists with selected digital offerings, all available to read for free -- but you are also encouraged to make a donation. Comics are downloadable as CBZ files via torrents or DC. I'm not super crazy about that format, but the reader on the site itself works very smoothly, and I don't have any room on my iPad anyway.

Stan Lee joins with nerdlebrity all-stars for comedy film
Audi produced this short comedy advertisement with Stan Lee teaching how to do what he does best: appear in cameos in Marvel films. The short, directed by Kevin Smith with appearances by Smith, Jason Mewes, Michael Rooker, Tara Reid and, poignantly, Lou Ferrigno, sort of sums up where we're at as a culture right now.
“I’ve studied a lot of acting methods,” Rooker says in the short. “I’ve studied the Stanislavski method, the method method, but I’ve never studied anything like the Stan Lee method.
