The full line-up of titles for Free Comic Book Day 2017 has just been released, and there will be 38 Silver Sponsor titles in addtion to the 12 Gold Sponsor titles previously announced. Free Comic Book Day will take place on Saturday, May 6th, 2017.
Highlights include: secret projects from DC and Marvel, the latter featuring the Guardians of the Galaxy, who have a movie coming out at about the same time; the debut of the Catalyst superhero line from Lion Forge; the return of Hilda from Luke Pearson; an anthology of cartoonists from Fantagraphics with Noah Van Sciver and more; a new Attack on Titan anthology by creators including Jody Houser, Emi Lenox; and more.
And oh yeah, the return of…Keyser Soze, the criminal mastermind from The Usual Suspects in a new comics from Red 5.
The emphasis as usual is licensed titles, kids comics and maybe a few things that have been sitting on the shelf awaiting promotion, like The Incal.
