February will be Harley Quinn Variant month—and here are all the covers

2
February's variant cover theme fro DC Comics will be HArley Quinn, and that should come as zero surprise. It worked for Marvel with Deadpool, a similarly anarchic fourth-wall busting character. In fact if Marvel and DC were to do a crossover, I think Deadpool vs Harley would be the Batman vs Spider-man of the day. In addition, Harley's new, Suicide-Girls-inspired look has definitely caught on, supplanting the sturdily iconic Bruce Timm designed onesie. I don't know who did the deredisgn for the New 52, but I think it may have been the most successful of the bunch.

Video: Dating tips with Fraction and Zdarsky

0
We've finally reached the place where cartoonists are giving dating advice in short videos. That it is the SEX CRIMINALS team of Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky should come as no surprise, as they were seemingly genetically bred for this task. The duo appear in a video on EW to talk about their new "advice" book Just the Tips and tell some dating stories. Zdarsky definitely wins this one, and it's true if there's no one to talk to, breaking up is hard.

Michelle MacLaren may direct Wonder Woman

8
Word on the street of late has been that a female director had been approached to direct the 2017 Gal Gadot Wonder Woman movie. Who could it be? Lena Dunham? Miranda July? Well now a name has emerged and it's Michelle McLaren. If you're a fastidious credit watcher you've seen McLaren's name in the credits of The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. With a resume like that how could she NOT direct a superhero movie? IN particular, she directed some of the most brutal and riveting Breaking Bad episodes, showing she knows her way around a meth lab at least.

Novelist Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) seems to be the headliner in the gala 200th issues of Dark Horse Presents. This groundbreaking anthology has introduced a ton of great comics to the world—a couple of little comics called Sin City and Concrete— and it was also the very first Dark Horse publication. To celebrate, the 200th issue has a stellar line up and a HELLBOY cover by Gabriel Bá, an APE-X variant cover by THE GOON creator Eric Powell and more including the US publication of a comic Flynn and Dave Gibbons originally commissioned for the Guardian in the UK.
