The CW has announced the renewal of thirteen of the network’s current series for the 2020-21 season. As reported by THR, among the shows being renewed are five of the network’s Arrowverse slate of shows: The FlashSupergirlBlack LightningBatwoman, and Legends of Tomorrow (the line’s flagship series, Arrow, is set to wrap up its eight-year run at the end of this month). The Archie Comics-based series Riverdale has also been renewed, as have nearly all of the network’s other offerings.

The only CW series not yet renewed, aside from those scheduled to end (along with Arrow, Supernatural and The 100 are also ending this year), is Katy Keene, the Riverdale spin-off which premieres next month. That show doesn’t appear to be in trouble, though, as the network announced along with the renewals an order for 13 more scripts for the series.

With the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover ending next week, it’s good to see that the current shows set in the Greg Berlanti-produced Arrowverse will have even more time to explore their new status quo (that is, assuming the story ends with everyone living on the same Earth). On top of that, the network is also still developing an Arrow spin-off focused on the adult daughter of Oliver Queen played by Katherine McNamara, as well as Superman & Lois spin-off of Supergirl starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch in the title roles. With the DC Universe Stargirl series also planned to air on The CW after its streaming debut, The CW’s DC-TV empire clearly isn’t going anywhere.
