The Orcs are out of the dungeons and into the spotlight with Image Comics’ new glow-in-the-dark variants of popular comic book series, D’orc. The new highly collectible covers were announced at the comic shop retailer event at New York Comic Con, and they certainly lit up the room.

The story of D’orc is set in the mystical world of Sunderaine and centres around a lonely orphan orc thrown into a never-ending war between the elves and the orcs. Armed with nothing but his wit, a plucky attitude and, oh yeah, a magical yet violently unstable shield, it should all work out fine… right?  Trying to survive a war, whilst contending with a doomsday prophecy that threatens to end the world is a tall task… so little D’orc has his work cut out for him indeed.

The first five issues of the ‘Glow in the D’orc’ variant will be released on November 25th 2026. The release includes the eighth printing of issue #1, the fifth printing of #2, the fourth printing of #3, the second printing of #4 and the third printing of #5. Moreover, a bundle containing all five variants will also be available for readers to purchase.

For those looking to catch up on the series, Dorc’, volume 1 is available at comic shops, Amazon and Barnes and Noble right now. Digital editions of the series are also available at Kindle, Apple Books and Google Play.

The D’orc ‘Glow in the D’orc’ variants will come charging into comic book shops on November 25th, 2026.
