With Mary Jane now joining the cast of The Invincible Iron Man, it’s no surprise that she would get the chance to try on the armor. Issue #9’s Mike Deodato (Original Sin) cover shows her with a select few pieces of armor. The issue is a lead-in to Civil War II, but little else is known about some of the plot points of the issue.

Newsarama only offered up two sentences on this one, Kevin Maguire (Justice League) is joining Howard the Duck in the upcoming issue #7. This is another comic shipping in May that has some guest stars including She-Hulk, Spider-Man, Daredevil and Steve Rogers. The only other piece of information offered up is the bit that all of these characters are teaming up in the Savage Land together.

In May’s Black Panther #2 the story continues in The Fall of Wakanda. Ta-Nehesi Coates (Between the World and Me) and Brian Stelfreeze (Day Men) are continuing their story, Newsarama has the cover reveal to issue #2 and a few hints at some of the plotting;

“The darkest chapter of the Black Panther mythos continues as Wakanda crumbles from within. Enter: The Midnight Angels!” reads the second issue’s description. “Two mysterious women leading the citizen revolt against the current regime of Wakanda, challenging not only T’Challa’s politics but also his resolve. But will their rage provide more for the people than the royal family has thus far? Written by MacArthur Genius and National Book Award winner TA-NEHISI COATES (Between the World and Me) and illustrated by living legend BRIAN STELFREEZE!”

A brand new Daredevil/Punisher crossover is coming in May according to Newsarama. The website shared a Reilly Brown (Deadpool & Cable: Split Second) cover, although no creative team has been confirmed for the series yet. Netflix’s Daredevil season two debuts in March pairing the two characters together.

“A simple change of venues for one of Matt Murdock’s cases becomes more complicated when THE PUNISHER attempts to send the defendant away…permanently!,” reads the issue’s solicitation. “If DAREDEVIL and BLINDSPOT want to get this mobster his day in court, it will take every ounce of wit and wile they have. All Frank needs to get what he wants is a bullet. The race is on!”

That’s a lot of Marvel new for the weekend!
