At the Epic Games’ State of Unreal showcase, Skydance New Media and Marvel revealed a new story trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra video game as well as details.

Skydance New Media, helmed by award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig, and Marvel Games today shared new details on their upcoming narrative-driven action-adventure game, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. A new trailer gives fans a sneak peek into an original story that takes players on a WWII-era adventure with an ensemble of four heroes playable at different points in the game.

As the game’s narrative unfolds, players will assume the role of four central characters: a young Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America; Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather and the WWII-era Black Panther; Gabriel Jones, a U.S. soldier and member of the Howling Commandos; and Nanali, a Wakandan spy embedded in Occupied Paris.

With the game’s release in 2025, players can look forward to exhilarating gameplay inspired by Marvel’s landmark comics, films, and television series. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra captures the action, excitement, and globe-trotting adventure that has delighted fans for decades. We’re excited to share more down the road.

The WWII era adventures of Captain America and T’Challa’s grandfather, Azzuri, have been chronicled in comics over the years, most notably the Black Panther/Captain America: Flags of Our Fathers miniseries.

In addition, the voice cast and composer for the Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra video game was also revealed along with images:
