Last month Marvel announced “Acts of Evil!,” an event running through the publisher’s summer annuals in which heroes face unexpected villains. The initial announcement included July-shipping annuals for Ms. Marvel, The Punisher, and Venom. Today Marvel announced titles and creative teams for the remaining “Acts of Evil!” annuals. The list of August- and September-shipping annuals is as follows:

DEADPOOL ANNUAL #1: DEADPOOL VS. NIGHTMARE
Written by DANA SCHWARTZ
Art by REILLY BROWN
Cover by AARON KUDER
SHE-HULK ANNUAL #1: SHE-HULK VS. BULLSEYE
Written by ALEXANDRA PETRI

GHOST SPIDER ANNUAL #1: GHOST-SPIDER VS. ARCADE

MOON KNIGHT ANNUAL #1: MOON KNIGHT VS. KANG

WOLVERINE ANNUAL #1: WOLVERINE VS. MORGAN LE FAY

The Deadpool and She-Hulk annuals represent the first comics work for writers Dana Schwartz and Alexandra Petri, respectively. Petri is a humor columnist for the Washington Post, and you may also know her as the writer behind the Emo Kylo Ren twitter account. Schwartz has had work featured in The New Yorker and GQ, and is author of the forthcoming humor book The White Man’s Guide to White Male Writers of the Western Canon, based on her own parody twitter account Guy In Your MFA.
The Ghost-Spider annual makes Vita Ayala the first person other than Jason Latour or Seanan McGuire to write a solo Spider-Gwen Ghost-Spider story (sorry, it’s going to take some getting used to). And I’m excited to see one of my favorite artists, TBD, on the Wolverine annual.
Along with the titles and creative teams, Marvel has released covers for the August-shipping annuals, as well as a handy checklist of all eight “Acts of Evil!” annuals. You can find all of that below. Look for the first “Acts of Evil!” annuals to hit stores in July.

  1. Marvel is a girl brand now. Horray!
and no, the Deadpool cover is not suppose to be silly. The Unicorn will be a new re-occuring character in comics starring Deapool from now on
