Last year, Marvel launched their new Star Wars comics by offering remastered editions of the original comic book adaptations.

Well…  next March, Lusasfilm Press will release a brand new graphic novel adaptation of the original trilogy (AKA “A New Hope Strikes the Jedi”)!

I can’t discover who made this; it’s listed as “LucasFilm Book Group”. Disney has gotten better at listing creators in their licensed/studio books, so the printed book might list them inside. (In my opinion, it looks like it may have originated at Disney Italy.)

Meanwhile, here’s the basic info from Edelweiss along with six previews.

So, what do you think?

Did Han shoot first?

Who draws a better Slave Leia: Bill Sienkiewicz, Adam Hughes, Al Williamson, Shin-Ichi Hiromoto, Mort Drucker, or this newcomer?

Should Luke’s feathered shag hairstyle be updated?

Who would you like to see draw a Star Wars comic?

And most importantly… will you buy this comic? Would you buy merchandise based on these designs?

I think that label is the LucasFilm arm of Disney Press/DBG, Disney’s internal publishing division. Looks fantastic to me!

This isn’t even the first “remake” of the star wars trilogy in comics.

In the 90’s (or early 2000’s) Dark Horse put out a manga style series of adaptations of the classic trilogy.

There’s also a LINE Webtoon edition of Star Wars (drawn by a Korean artist), which I think was pretty appealing for the webcomic fanbase!

Aw, this was an incredibly nice post. Finding the time and actual effort to create
    a top notch article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a
whole lot and never seem to get anything done.
