Frozen is set to return to the big screen later this year, but if you can’t wait to catch up with Anna, Elsa, and your other favorite residents of Arendelle, Dark Horse Comics has you covered. The publisher has announced two new Frozen graphic novels, set to come out later this year.
The first of the two books, Disney Frozen Adventures: Flurries of Fun, collects in one volume a handful of different Frozen stories that were previously available from other publishers. Creators on this new collection include writers Alessandro Ferrari and Tea Orsi, and artists Emilio Urbano, Michela Frare, Nicoletta Baldari, Miriam Gambino, Veronica Di Lorenzo, and Marino Gentile.
The second, Disney Frozen YA Retelling, is just what it sounds like: a young adult graphic novel retelling of the story of the first Frozen film. The adaptation is written by Joe Shuster Award winner Cecil Castellucci, with an artist still to be announced.
The new books are the latest in the continued relationship between Dark Horse and Disney. The publisher has previously published two three-issue Frozen miniseriesBreaking Boundaries and Reunion Road. Both of those series were written by Joe Caramagna, with art on Breaking Boundaries by Kawaii Creative Studios, and art on Reunion Road by Eduard Petrovich, Nastia Beloushova, and Yana Chinstova. Tie-in graphic novels for Aladdin and The Lion King are also forthcoming from Dark Horse, as is an anthology collection of new stories spotlighting Disney’s famous locations.

  1. The most vile company on par with all of the other most vile companies of all time. They chalk all of this up to “entertainment” in their deranged and sickly single focused quest for the only thing they care about which is profit. I guess the dead babies just comes with the “entertainment”.
