Dean Haspiel gave the keynote speech at the Harveys and although there were a lot of joking catcalls from the audience, his speech had most people stunned by the end. It was a heartfelt tribute to the power of the comics community, while also refelcting the uncertain times that artists have in New York and, really, any community where real estate has soared beyond their reach.
