Archie vs Sharknado coming in July
The Archie gang has teamed with Predator, Kiss, Glee, the Punisher and many other things over the years, so why not Sharknado? The Syfy movie about a tornado full of sharks has quietly taken over the imaginations of people coast to coast so it is only natural that the 'Nado would touch down in Riverdale! For those more worried about the fuure of this nation, relax, it is only a one-shot, written by the director of the Shaknado trilogy Anthony C. Ferrante with art by Archie's Dan Parent, who often writes these milestone issues but he's multi-talented.

Dark Horse's July comics previews are out and here they are with Mignola, Kindt, the return of Barb Wire, The New Deal, a new graphic novel by Jonathan Case, the collected Astro Boy, the final book of Oh My Goddess and MORE. I haven't really looked at the Dark Horse line in a while, and they are putting out some good stuff.

Julia Pohl-Miranda upped at Drawn & Quarterly
In a move that will surprise no one, Julia Pohl-Miranda has been promoted Director of Marketing at Drawn & Quarterly, where she will continue to oversee day-to-day publicity operations, author tours, festivals and events, and remain a calm and encouraging presence at D&Q's booth wherever she goes. A graduate of McGill University, Pohl-Miranda started as a marketing intern for joined D&Q in 2008, while progressing to publicity assistant and editorial marketing manager before reaching her current title.
