Review: Friends with and without feathers flock together in Feathers #1
Writer/Artist/Creator Jorge Corona gives us a lot to chew on in issue one of his new series Feathers: there's a disembodied duo who appear only in voice over; a gleaming white-walled citadel surrounded by poorer districts and a class system to match; a faceless, whistling villain who preys on children and never forgets his muffler; and, of course, a little boy covered in the feathers that gives the book it's name.

Marvel Month to Month Sales Charts: November 2014—A Tale of Three Events
Wow! So that is a lot of AXIS, Spider-Verse, and Death of Wolverine coming out this month. Spider-Verse topped the charts this month, with Axis and some new debuts close behind, but I can’t help but wonder if these events are starting to cannibalize each other’s sales a bit. AXIS seems to be underperforming a bit, and I wonder if people are just getting tired of event after event.

Advanced Review: The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Deals With Serious Matters
There’s an air of impossibility surrounding this book. It begins with a song and vibrant neon crime fighting. It deflates the hyper-serious and allows for a sense of whimsy. When I started working behind the desk at a comic shop, something like this would have barely snuck through Marvel editorial as a one-shot - a reaction to an audience that had an appetite for Serious Comics about Things That Matter and very little else. Today things are clearly different.
