Apiphobia is the fear of bees. Spheksophobia is the fear of wasps. Entomophobia is the fear of insects. If you have any of the above fears, Hive is the perfect series for you this Halloween.

Created by Kyusam Kim, the Webtoons horror comic imagines an apocalyptic world where enormous bees are using humanity as either their hosts or their lunch. Our reluctant hero Lee gets trapped at work when the bug-pocalypse hits and all he can think about is getting out and back to his wife and baby.

What made these swarming insects so massive? Apparently too much oxygen. Besides the gigantic bugs chasing the humans around, there is more to Lee’s story than just a man versus monster horror tale. With each episode, you learn a little bit more about him and some of the shady stuff happening at his place of employment.

Hive is an exciting departure from other post-apocalyptic narratives where it is either a virus that creates a zombie infestation or some environmental shift that makes the world nearly uninhabitable. The survival of the fittest theme is still present, however. Even if you don’t have an actual phobia of bees, wasps, and other bugs, the concept of these critters being the size of a house is quite disturbing.

The complete series is on Webtoons now. Read the entire comic for Halloween this week.
