Local Comic Shop Day 2019 is scheduled for November 23, and Vault Comics is joining the fun with a special, extremely limited trade paperback printing of These Savage Shores Gold Edition. The cover is printed with special gold ink and will only be available at local comic shops.
“Ever since These Savage Shores came out in comic form last year, fans have been clamoring for a graphic novel,” said Marco Davanzo, Executive Director of ComicsPro. “It was a hot title last year, and we expect that fans will love the special gold cover treatment. Written by Ram V. and drawn by Sumit Kumar (who is also the cover artist), the story takes place two centuries after the first European ship sailed to the Malabar Coast and made landfall at Calicut. The East India Company seeks to secure its future along the lucrative Silk Route in the year 1766. An old evil now sails aboard a company ship, hoping to make a home in this new found land. But he will soon find that the ground along the Indus is an ancient one with daemons and legends far older than himself. The series also features colors by Vitorio Astone, letters by Aditya Bidikar, and designs by Tim Daniel.
The gold cover is the perfect companion piece for collectors who also purchased the special edition cover set recently released that reprinted issues #1 through #3 and displayed the main characters in silhouette with the same ink design from the interior pages outlining them.
