Con season is not over! WinterCon used to wrap things up here in NYC but it’s just the kick off for December, but it’s a good kick-off, with a Blade Runner reunion featuring Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Joanna Cassidy, William Sanderson and Kevin Thompson. Plus Buck Rogers, and Billy Tucci, Sean Chen and more in Artist Alley.
WinterCon is as much as SF/movie event as comics, but its a lot of fun and the setting – a giant exhibit hall in the bowels of the Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, NY – is just oddball enough to make this a unique event on the con tour, with added displays of props and other unexpected things. PLus, if you’re into that kind of thing, photos and autographs are pretty reasonable.
