This morning Marvel Studios dropped the first teaser trailer for November’s The Marvels movie.
The Marvels will feature Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) teaming up for an adventure, acting as a combined sequel to Captain Marvel (2019) and continuation of the Wandavision (2020) and Ms. Marvel (2022) Disney+ shows.
Marvel.com gives some insight into the film’s plot:
“In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”
The Marvels is directed by Nia DaCosta, with a screenplay by DaCosta, Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells. It will feature the cinematic return of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury (who we will first see in the Secret Invasion event series airing on Disney+ in June).
The Marvels is scheduled to release worldwide November 10, 2023.
Still amazed that more fans don’t know what Gru and Ralph Macchio did to Monica after firing Roger Stern from the Avengers. Monica being the actual female Captain Marvel.
