The fall seasons for most of The CW’s many DC Universe-set series are underway, which means the countdown to the epic Crisis on Infinite Earths event is officially on. Last week a leaked photo circulated online that featured a group shot from the crossover, including Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Audrey Marie Anderson as Harbinger, and Tom Cavanagh as Pariah. Now The CW has released, via KSite, an official first look at Tom Cavanagh in the Pariah suit:

Tom Cavanagh as Pariah

The suit is nearly identical, save for a lack of puffy sleeves and thigh-high boots, to that worn by Pariah in Marv Wolfman and George Pérez‘s original Crisis on Infinite Earths series:

The news of Tom Cavanagh playing the role of Pariah was revealed during The CW’s The Flash panel at San Diego Comic Con. It’s a natural fit for Cavanagh, who has played different versions of scientist Harrison Wells for five years on the series. In the original Crisis comic, Pariah is a scientist who unwittingly unleashes the Anti-Monitor on the Multiverse; having an alternate version of Wells play that role in the Arrowverse crossover is a smart way to tie the story to existing TV continuity.

The image of Cavanagh as Pariah is similar to one released last month of Anderson as Harbinger:

Other Arrowverse actors who will be pulling double-duty for Crisis on Infinite Earths include Brandon Routh as Superman and, as also revealed at SDCCJon Cryer as an alternate version of Lex Luthor.

Crisis on Infinite Earths begins on The CW on Sunday, December 8th.
