Nintendo’s loveable Switch system will bring its dedicated fanbase the entire Telltale Games The Walking Dead series to the platform soon. The company, alongside Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, announced that The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season will launch on Nintendo Switch on August 28.

The game will feature the entire five-episode first season as well as the “400 Days” standalone game that followed it, as well as the visual upgrades that came with the release of “The Complete Collection” on consoles and PC earlier this year. Telltale also announced today that The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will both come to Switch later this year. More information will be available in the coming months.

The Complete First Season will retail on Switch for $24.99. Admittedly, it’s just a bit shy of the price point I’d hoped for when it comes to a game that’s more than five years old and could really just be viewed on YouTube through a Switch if it ever gets a YouTube app. Even the latest The Walking Dead: The Final Season launch made it unnecessary since it did a good job of catching up new players to protagonist Clementine’s story. It’s not a criticism on the original game itself as it remains one of the best things left about The Walking Dead universe but it’s about $5 too much.
