According to a report from Variety, San Diego-based Luth Research has been analyzing Netflix's original content and concluded that Marvel's Daredevil was the most popular of the streaming service's original series in recent months, with 10.7% of domestic Netflix subscribers tuning in for at least one episode in the show's first 11 days of airtime.

The timing may have nothing to do with last week's Twilight of DC's office, but Marvel Comics Executive Editor Mike Marts leaving a post where he was clearly being groomed for big things to go to a START-UP, is an interesting comment on the state of the American comics industry. Marts confirmed on Twitter that he was leaving Marvel for AfterShock Comics, a new venture with writer Joe Pruett. Deadline has more details. Pruett has written X-Men titles for Marvel. Marts was working on various high profile titles including Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men comics. Marts will become Editor-in-Chief of Aftershock comics after pingponging back between MArvel and Dc for a career that started in 1996.

This story first dropped in January but we must have been having blizzard or something. Anyway, in an effort to sell more comics, Marvel has introduced a line of bargain priced $1 introductory issues for a number of tried and true story lines. It's called True Believer and the books go on sale in April. The books go back to some classic story lines like Civil War, Planet Hulk—and just for the PS3 generation, Powers (debuting tonight!) Presumably these jump on board spots will enable new reads to join in the Secret Wars fun.
