Strikeforce #1, the debut issue of the new Marvel Comics team series by Tini Howard and Germán Peralta, is out in stores today. To celebrate, Marvel and Comixology have announced a digital directors cut of the issue, which is available now for anyone who pre-ordered or purchases the issue.
The director’s cut of the issue will feature process art including layouts, inks, and colors for the full book, as well as behind-the-scenes character designs and the script for the issue. This version of the book will be available for $3.99, the cost of the regular version, for the next two weeks; come October 10th, the price will jump to $7.99. Interestingly, if you took the plunge and subscribed to Strikeforce, you won’t receive the director’s cut, which seems odd. No word on whether customers who purchase physical copies will automatically be upgraded to the director’s cut.
