Avengers: Endgame spoilers have officially gone mainstream. On Monday, the unofficial end to the spoiler ban for the record-breaking MCU film, Marvel and Sony released the full trailer for Spider-Man: Far from Home. As noted by star Tom Holland before the trailer starts, if you haven’t seen Endgame, don’t watch the trailer! Spoilers abound.
When Peter joins his friends — all of whom were apparently snapped by Thanos in Infinity War — on a European summer trip, it quickly becomes apparent that you can take the boy out of the superhero costume, but you can’t take the superhero out of the boy. Peter is tapped by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) to assist “Mr. Beck” (Jake Gyllenhaal) with problems plaguing the multiverse.
It’s tough being a teenager when you have to maintain a secret identity, especially when everyone is expecting you to carry on the legacy of your late mentor. Peter’s grief is palpable in this trailer, but so are his attempts to keep going. Spider-Man: Far from Home promises big thrills and plenty of jokes; it also promises lots of emotional moments. Check out the full trailer below. Tickets are on sale now; Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 2.
Is Spidey asking about “Captain Marvel” the first time we’ve heard Carol Danvers actually referred to in-story as Captain Marvel?
