Meow Wolf, the arts company known for trippy, future-forward, immersive exhibits with an anarchist undertone, has announced a multi-year partnership with animation studio Titmouse to develop new immersive storytelling and an animated series rooted in Meow Wolf lore. San Diego Comic-Con 2026 attendees can get a first look at what’s to come during a joint panel on Thursday, July 23.
Both Meow Wolf and Titmouse will co-develop and executive produce original animated series projects based on the former’s expansive story universe, with Titmouse co-founder and CEO Chris Prynoski overseeing development. In addition to the animated series, Titmouse will also produce and direct the animation for Meow Wolf’s upcoming LA exhibition, which is slated to open later this year.
“The first time I experienced Meow Wolf, my third eye popped open like a busted piñata. The color and texture and sound and chaos reverse-bled into my psychic veins,” said Prynoski in the announcement. “I instantly knew these artists and their souls, although I had not yet met them. Now we are teaming up to tell stories that burst from the page onto the screen and then into the real world. Together, we’re not just pushing the envelope of animation, we’re folding it into an origami spirit and riding it through the psychedelic multiverse.”
“Titmouse and Meow Wolf are born from the same place—artist-founded, artist-driven, fearless and independent,” said James Stephenson, SVP and Creative Director of Emerging Media at Meow Wolf.
“Both studios have always been interested in finding the outer edges of what a story can be, what an audience can experience, and what is creatively even possible. By teaming up, we have brought together talents from many different disciplines to craft an experience in LA that is unlike any other—a truly new way to immerse yourself in our stories and worlds,” Stephenson continued. “And we could not be more excited to be partnering with them now to bring those stories and worlds to life far beyond our exhibition walls.”
More details about the LA exhibition and future animation projects will be announced in the coming months.
