The 2016 “Answer the Call” crew Ghostbusters get a 5 issue miniseries called Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (you guessed the titled, didn’t you?) dropping in October.

The creative forces behind this series are writer Kelly Thompson(Hawkeye, Ghostbusters: Deviations) and artist Corin Howell (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Ghostbusters: International) both of whom have confronted the paranormal and lived to tell the tale, each having played in the Ghostbusters comics sandbox previously. Their rendition of the new generation of ‘busters is the next exciting addition to the ever-expanding Ghostbusters shared universe, and will serve as the perfect jumping-on point for Ghostbusters fans—old and new alike—combining the spirit of the original franchise with the spunk of the 2016 film.

These treated vampires become known as bloodivores, and must wear a special necklace to warn others of their condition.

Born from bloodivore and human parents, MiRyu was known as “The Child of Hope” tying bloodivore and humankind together. However, when MiRyu is arrested as the principal offender in a bank robbery, he is taken to a special prison operated by the Bureau of Special Threat Management for observing bloodivores.

The popular digital comics series launched in April of 2016, before premiering as an anime in October of last year, with twelve episodes currently available through the ubiquitous anime streaming service Crunchy Roll.
