Who doesn’t enjoy an ice-cold glass of pink lemonade on a hot day? Oni Press is hoping that you do, as the publisher has announced that they will be publishing Pink Lemonade, the independent comic series from cartoonist Nick Cagnetti. The series follows a motorcycle-riding superhero as she’s just starting out and trying to find a place for herself.

Here’s how Oni Press describes the series:

Breakout indy comics sensation Nick Cagnetti’s sleeper hit comes to Oni Press! A new hero on the scene, Pink Lemonade dreams of doing big things, but ultimately, she’ll settle for doing good and helping where she can. Things don’t always work out as planned, as Pink Lemonade sees when she accidentally crashes the set of the next Rex Radical blockbuster movie. While trying to do her hero thing, there’s a misunderstanding with some cops—and just when you think she’s sunk, she gets an offer she may not be able to refuse! But…is it too good to be true?

Meet the heroine with a mysterious past, colorful costume, altruistic outlook, a zippy motorcycle, and an overactive imagination—it’s all pretty cool!

Cagnetti has previously released, via successful IndieGogo campaigns, two issues of Pink Lemonade, with those issues released in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Oni Press will bring those two previously-published issues back in new editions, and will also publish new issues of the series in the future.

Nick Cagnetti is a cartoonist and the co-founder with Tristan Bagnall of independent publisher Radical Realm Comics. In addition to his comics work, which includes books like The Spirit of the Shadows and Infinite Wonder, Cagnetti has also worked as a storyboard artist and freelance graphic designer.
