Deadline reports Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place, Hamnet) has been cast in an unknown role in Avengers: Secret Wars. Despite not knowing who he’s playing, the site describes his role as being “a key part” in the sixth main Avengers film, which will go into production soon with directors Joe and Anthony Russo at the helm for a release on December 17, 2027.
While Jupe, 21, could be playing anyone (he may be an original character, like Endgame‘s similarly important Morgan Stark), based on his age, he might be an aged up Franklin Richards, Teddy Altman/Hulkling (who did not actually appear in Agatha All Along), or a younger variant of Tony Stark/Iron Man from another universe.
Despite his age, Jupe has racked up a lot of recognition for his work, earning several nominations for his performances in Hamnet, A Quiet Place Part II, and Honey Boy. His work included a stage production of Romeo and Juliet earlier this year, co-starring Sadie Sink, who is reportedly set to return as Jean Grey in Secret Wars before 2028’s X-Men movie.
Avengers: Secret Wars will follow Doomsday (also directed by the Russo brothers), which will hit theaters on December 18. It will mark 2027’s only MCU movie, although Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released beforehand on June 18, 2027, and season three of Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ early next year.
In the meantime, VisionQuest, the final series in the WandaVision trilogy, will begin on October 14, and Jupe will return to the role of Marcus Abbott in A Quiet Place Part III, releasing in theaters on July 30, 2027.
