“Set four years after the events of [2021’s] Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks a new chapter for Peter Parker. Alone and crime-fighting in a New York City that no longer knows his name, Peter has devoted himself to being a full-time Spider-Man. But as the pressure on Spider-Man intensifies, Peter Parker undergoes a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence.”

“When [2023’s] Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse cut to black, Miles Morales was left stranded in a reality very unlike his own, one in which he became the Prowler instead of Spider-Man. Next summer, dive back into the Multiverse with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the conclusion to the trilogy that started with the Oscar®-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

Although Beyond the Spider-Verse is expected to be the finale of the trilogy, more animated Marvel films are in the works from Sony Pictures, including a Spider-Women movie, a Spider-Punk spin-off (co-written by his voice actor, Daniel Kaluuya), and a Venom feature from Final Destination Bloodlines directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein. Another live-action spin-off, Spider-Noir, will premiere on MGM+ on Monday, May 25, and on Prime Video two days later.

In more news from Sony’s presentation last night, it was announced the next Jumanji film, opening December 25, is titled Jumanji: Open World; an R-rated animated film version of Bloodborne is in the works; and trailers for the new Resident Evil movie (out September 18) and The Social Network sequel The Social Reckoning (October 9) were screened.
