Oscar Isaac, the actor who also happens to be the physical embodiment of sex appeal, is reportedly being eyed by Marvel to star as Moon Knight in the character’s upcoming Disney+ series. Deadline reports that walking smolder Isaac is “in negotiations” to play the titular character.

Isaac joining the MCU would add another franchise notch to the absolute smokeshow’s belt. Isaac previously appeared in the newest Star Wars trilogy, where he got to make eyes at Laura Dern and deliver painful dialogue about Emperor Palpatine’s return.

It’s worth noting that the Deadline report should probably be taken with a grain of salt. After all, negotiations fall through all the time, and another reported MCU casting from the outlet, that of Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk, was recently refuted by the actress herself as being untrue.

Still, it’s exciting to think of what Oscar Isaac could do within the MCU as Moon Knight. The character’s a complicated one with multiple personalities and many different iterations. Isaac is an exceptionally talented actor, and a hell of a dancer, though that’s not something he got to show off in any of the Star Wars movies. But check out those moves in the excellent Ex Machina:

This would also be Isaac’s second foray into the Marvel Universe, following 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, but that’s probably best not spoken of ever again.

Writer Jeremy Slater, who previously worked on Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy adaptation, is reportedly developing the Moon Knight series. No production start date or estimated release date for the series have been announced.
