Marvel Comics has announced a new series of variant covers for their March-shipping titles featuring the striking artwork of Michael Cho. The covers will feature iconic versions of Marvel characters rendered by Cho in his signature duo-tone style. No indication has been provided of whether these variant covers will be incentivized or open-to-order for retailers.

The variant cover series is the second time that Marvel has dedicated a line of covers to Cho’s artwork. In 2016 Cho provided cover art for 21 of Marvel’s titles, though not in the two-tone style featured on these new covers. March’s covers are striking for the starkness of their white backgrounds, which really lets the color of the featured character(s) pop.

“It was a privilege and a joy to draw iconic images of the classic Marvel heroes, in the way that I remembered them from childhood,” Cho said.
