McFarlane Toys yesterday revealed the latest entry in their DC Multiverse line of action figures, and it’s a team-up of epic proportions. The new Batman & Spawn two-pack will feature 7″ figures of the Dark Knight and, for the first time in the Multiverse style, McFarlane’s signature creation, both based on the artwork of McFarlane from multiple crossover stories between the two characters.
Along with the figures, the Batman & Spawn two-pack will feature a special backdrop featuring artwork of the two characters by Todd McFarlane on one side, and a landscape adorned with dozens of skulls on the other side, as well as a base for the backdrop. Figure stands, trading cards featuring McFarlane artwork, and numerous accessories round out the set.
The new two-pack is the second time McFarlane Toys has produced figures of Batman and Spawn in the same scale and style, though the first time both figures have been packaged together. McFarlane’s Page Punchers series of 3″ figures features, in separate assortments, figures of a number of different DC characters including Batman, as well as a quartet of Spawn-related characters. Fingers cross the company will eventually produce a 4.5″-scale Spawn in the style of their throwback Super Powers line.
