Is it a new comic book about the adventures of legendary designer Saul Bass?
Or just the return of Iron Fist?
OK. I thought that was funny. However, I don’t know where good ol’ Irony went. I am SO out of step.
Chris: he didn’t really “go” anywhere, he just hasn’t had his own book for a while. He’s been a member of, um, one of the Avengers teams for a while now.
“Is it a new comic book about the adventures of legendary designer Saul Bass?” Funniest line EVER!
I’m not sure I’d want to read an Iron Fist comic, but that sure is a great redesign of the character. Bravo, Marvel!
That tag line makes me think of Electric Six’s gay bar:
I’ve got something to put in you,
I’ve got something to put in you,
I’ve got something to put in you,
At the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.
Wow!
Sadly, I doubt this comic will feature as interesting.

The recent Matt Fraction Iron Fist book was actually a fun take on a generally pretty lame character. It was a huge step up from the unceasing lameness of Ghost Rider and Moon Knight relaunches. I can only hope that the new title will continue in the same vein.
The Saul Bass line is probably the funniest thing I’ve read on The Beat.
Yes, but Fraction’s Iron Fist was not made of words and letters in solid all-caps fonts.
Been there, done that.
Since it’s a FEAR ITSELF panel, I’d like to know who it was that apparently came up with the idea of making the Midgard Serpent (the use of “Serpent” raises suspicions) Odin’s brother and a fear god. If he has all that power to bestow on people, he shouldn’t need to cause fear in people.
SRS
Fraction AND Brubaker made that comic excellent. And yes, Fraction carried it forward beyond the first arc, but Ed was still involved. I miss that book.
fraction and brubaker and David Aja made the book great. Doesn’t anybody appreciate artists anymore?
Brilliant Saul Bass allusion, Heidi.
