Marvel, in the latest episode of their weekly The Pull List video series, has revealed information about a handful of their January-shipping titles. Several of these titles, like Iron Man 2020 and a relaunched Star Wars series, were previously teased at the recent New York Comic Con. Others, like the Ravencroft titles and a new Hawkeye miniseries, were newly revealed in the video.
Here’s a rundown of the newly-revealed books, including creative teams and descriptions:
HAWKEYE: FREEFALL #1

Maybe the “mysterious and ruthless new Ronin” is MCU Barton circa Avengers: Endgame. Probably not, but that’d be cool. Also artist Otto Schmidt has previously drawn Green Arrow for DC, so he must just really enjoy drawing archers.

IRON MAN 2020 #1

But Arno Stark won’t be alone: War Machine, Rescue, Ironheart will all have roles to play in the new series. The Robot Rebellion will also feature some familiar robots from the Marvel Universe including Machine Man AKA Aaron Stack, Jocasta, the Vision, Albert (the robotic Wolverine character), Elsie-Dee, Machinesmith, Nick Fury LMDs, Death’s Head, the Mad Thinker and his Awesome Android, Quasimodo, H.E.R.B.I.E., the Dreadnaughts, Brynocki, Alkhema, and M-11.
A pretty clear continuation of the current Tony Stark: Iron Man series, save for the fact that it doesn’t sound like Tony’s going to be in it. A conspicuous absence from the list of AIs and robots is Nimrod, who’s featured somewhat prominently in House of X & Powers of X. The X-Men apparently prevented Nimrod from coming online during House of X, but it’d be interesting to see this series dovetail, even thematically, with what Jonathan Hickman and co. are doing in the Dawn of X titles.
RAVENCROFT #1

After the hellish horrors of ABSOLUTE CARNAGE, the Ravencroft Institute has received a much-needed facelift and is open for business with a new staff, including JOHN JAMESON, looking to atone for the part he played in ABSOLUTE CARNAGE. But will Ravencroft return the mentally unstable villains of the Marvel Universe to upstanding citizens and give John the redemption he’s looking for, or will they fall prey to the hospital’s seemingly sinister nature?
(I’m guessing they’ll fall prey to the hospital’s seemingly sinister nature.) Another Absolute Carnage follow-up, this one spearheaded by writer Frank Tieri and weaving in elements from past tie-ins he worked on for the event.
The next few titles are tie-ins to the Ravencroft storyline, apparently featuring flashback stories centered on specific characters who spent time there.

There were series set between Empire and Jedi back during the halcyon days of the Expanded Universe, perhaps most notably Shadows of the Empire, but this will be the first ongoing series set during that period.
Look for more information on future Marvel titles as it’s released. All of these books are scheduled to come out in January 2020.
