Later this month, Image Comics will release Indigo Children #2. The second issue of the series comes from the creative team of co-writers Curt Pires & Rockwell White, artist Alex Diotto, colorist Dee Cunniffe, and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. Today, on its preorder cutoff date, The Beat is pleased to present an exclusive preview of the issue, which continues the exploration of who and what the Indigo Children are.

Here’s how Image Comics describes Indigo Children #2:

CHAPTER TWO OF THE COMIC OF THE YEAR STARTS HERE! Mars—A glimpse of the past. Chicago—Alexei and Donovan work to liberate another one of the captured Indigo Children.

Along with a main cover by Diotto and Cunniffe, Indigo Children #2 will sport a variant cover by The Department of Truth artist Martin Simmonds.

“I’m so excited to finally have this book out in the world,” co-writer Curt Pires said, “And even more excited to provide my friends at The Beat with an early look at Indigo Children #2. Following the cliffhanger ending of issue one, we find ourselves somewhere else entirely different: Chicago. This is the issue where we really start to build out the world of Indigo Children, and the larger story at play.”

Pires was also eager to remind readers about a giveaway the creators are currently running. “Don’t forget we’re running a contest where you can win both the extremely limited Indigo Children Ashcan, as well as some original Alex Diotto Indigo Children art!”
