We’re back (again), baby! Futurama, the cult classic, long-running, often-canceled sci-fi animated sitcom created by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen is returning for Season 14 on Fulu Hulu. And today, the release date and several first look images were released!
Futurama Season 14 release date
Here’s the official description of Futurama Season 14 from Hulu:
“Brace yourselves … The future is about to get a whole lot stranger! It’s a nonstop onslaught of swaggering space pirates, lab-grown meats, sexy scams … plus the shocking return of Dr. Zoidberg’s lost love. No one saw that coming, prior to being told about it just now. It’s a thrilling, all-new season of Futurama on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., and on Disney+ internationally. New episodes will stream on Mondays.”
That’s right, fellow PlanEx devotees: after experimenting with a full season release with Season 13, Futurama Season 14 is heading back to a once-a-week episode drop.
Futurama stars John DiMaggio as Bender B. Rodriguez, Billy West as Philip J. Fry, Dr. John Zoidberg and Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth, Katey Sagal as Captain Turanga Leela, Lauren Tom as Dr. Amy Wong, Phil Lamar as Hermes Conrad, Grade 36 Bureaucrat, as well as Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche and David Herman, each in a plethora of roles.
This is the final season of Futurama that has been confirmed by Hulu so far, and so it’s possible it might actually be the PlanEx crew’s conclusive outing (for real, this time). But then again, the very first episode of the Hulu revival, “The Impossible Stream,” included Leela suggesting a possible movie to the execubots. So perhaps Futurama will go where certain other spacefaring crews have gone before and make the leap from the small screen to the big screen?
