In the latest trailer for Disney’s Frozen 2, Elsa and Anna are back together with their friends to explore the unknown and save the kingdom from an ominous creature. This time around, Elsa’s powers are being tested even further. In the franchise’s first movie, the people of Arendelle, and even her sister feared the ice queen, but now it looks like she’s their the only hope.
The troll king is back in this trailer and plays an important role. “The past is not what it seems. You must find the truth,” he tells Elsa. The stony king goes and implores her, Anna Olaf and Kristoff to go even further north than they have before, to the enchanted lands, seemingly on a quest to see the full extent of Elsa’s powers. Before they set off, the troll king warns Anna that his people worried Elsa’s powers would be too much for their world to handle, but “Now we must hope they are enough.”
Just like its predecessor, the beloved and highest-grossing animated film of all time Frozen, this sequel will likely explore themes of personal acceptance and identity. The entire cast is back, including Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Josh Gad as Olaf and Jonathan Groff as Kristoff. Watch the Frozen 2 trailer below and get ready – it slides into theaters this November.
