Tapas Media has scooped up yet another editor: Chris Robinson has joined them in the newly created role of Exclusives Partnership Manager, starting today. Robinson — formerly of Marvel and Z2 — will focus on bringing talented creators and webcomics to the platform, while being an advocate for creators and their stories. Robinson will work from the Los Angeles headquarters.

“I am so delighted to add my voice to the wealth of talent at Tapas,” says Robinson. “I look forward to supporting and growing the creator community in every way possible.”

“We are so excited for Chris to join our team as our new Exclusives Partnership Manager,” says Community Manager Isabell Castro. “As an experienced comic editor, he will support our talented, diverse community and help them share their stories with our growing audience, as well as further their career as up and coming creators.”

Robinson joins other recent hires Jamie S. Rich, who recently was named editor in chief, and Alex R. Carr, who was just hired as Senior Director of Publisher Relations. They all work under CCO Michelle Wells. Tapas was recently acquired by Korean media giant Kakao, so they evidently have a lot of things in development.

At Marvel, Chris Robinson worked on such prominent projects as Ta-Nehisi Coates’s Black Panther, Jonathan Hickman’s X-Men, the Grand Design line of graphic novels, the Marvel Hip-Hop variant program, and the expansion of Marvel’s Voices. He also edited fan-favorite runs for characters like Ghost Rider, Domino, and Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur.
