Can you believe it? In just a few short days we’ll all be returning to the wasteland of a nuclear ravaged America in Fallout 4. Last night, in an almost equally ravaged part of Los Angeles; the game’s developer Bethesda, and ZeniMax Media took a victory lap by hosting star studded launch party for the upcoming release of the eagerly awaited Fallout 4 video game. Fallout 4 is the next-gen open world gaming experience coming to PC and consoles next week. You’ll step into the role of a dweller from Vault 111, a survivor of a post apocalyptic world you’ll explore through the lens of a ravaged Boston. Or Baahston as some post extinction east coasters pronounce it.
This celebration was no casual hall rented affair. Cops blocked off part of Santa Fe Ave in the warehouse district of Los Angeles. Bethesda converted an empty warehouse into a scene from their grossly gorgeous dystopian world. Some big celebrities walked the party’s black carpet in style. Scott Porter, Halle Berry, Kaley Cuoco; just to name a few.
Inside the massive scene, Fallout themed foods and drinks were served out of make shift bars along with scenery made to look like container trailers you’d visit in the game. Donuts, hot dogs, microwave dinners, artisan orderbs; all the stuff fancy celebrity gamers would want.
The night’s entertainment featured DJ’s spinning some heavy industrial and a few live musical performances by Calvin Harris, Walk the Moon, and Bloc Party. To end the night, Fallout’s executive producer Todd Howard took the stage to let everyone know even thought the game has taken four years to create, the work isn’t done till we all get to play it.
Fans will dive into a post-apocalyptic New England when Fallout 4 launches world wide on November 10, 2015 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
