After meeting the demon conqueror Raka and his devil’s brew, the saga of Red Sonja’s early days continues in Red Sonja: Birth of the She-Devil #2. Written by Luke Lieberman and with art by Sergio Davila, the next installment of the miniseries is set to release this week, with the stakes for the untamed flame-haired warrior getting higher. Sonja is thrust back into an uneasy alliance that combines elements of her past against a deadly new Hyborian foe as a literal death cult seeks to enslave all those in their path.
The series gives followers of the fan-favorite character a more detailed look into how she became the deadly swordswoman we simultaneously love and fear. As the story continues, so do the gorgeous covers by Davila and Lucio Parrillo. There is also a black and white version of the Davila cover available as well as a cosplay cover.
