Things are about to get really, really weird. In Prométhée 13:13 #2, the second part of a three-issue prequel series to Christophe Bec‘s continuing sci-fi series Prométhée, a woman’s visions of alien abduction might actually be memories. And as she begins to learn the truth, a space shuttle is simultaneously pulled off course by a mysterious force toward an even more mysterious location.

In Prométhée, something impossible happens every day at 1:13 p.m. for 13 days. The prequel series, Prométhée 13:13, examines what happened before that 13-day period began.

“This is where things start getting weird, as the space shuttle Atlantis is yanked out of orbit by an invisible force, and Darla learns more about the motivations of her kidnappers,” said series writer Andy Diggle in an exclusive statement for The Beat. “Initially it seems like the two storylines couldn’t be further apart, but we begin to see that everything is connected by an ancient conspiracy that stretches back to the dawn of mankind.”

Ahead of the issue’s release on ComiXology as part of its Originals line, The Beat has an exclusive, five-page preview of Prométhée 13:13 #2. Check out the synopsis and preview pages below; then be sure to grab a digital copy on ComiXology Wednesday, Oct. 2.
