In 2020, Dark Horse Comics and Comixology Originals announced a partnership deal to bring the latter’s comics to print. That partnership agreement has been extended, with the agreed-upon publishing slate also expanding. The Beat can exclusively announce that Dark Horse and Comixology will release three additional titles under this agreement starting in September.

First up is Ask for Mercy Vol. 2, which collects Seasons 3-4 of the digital series. Written by Richard Starkings and drawn by Abigail Jill Harding, this action-packed fantasy-horror series follows Mercy, Ratmir, and Budgie, three monster hunters adrift in time upon whom the world’s fate rests. To save it, they must confront the villainous Kroach and Hybrid in the year 2023.

Ask for Mercy Vol. 2 will be available everywhere books are sold on September 17, and it will be available in comic book shops on September 18. Vol. 1 is available now. You can also read the series digitally from Comixology Originals.

In December, Dark Horse will release Black Sight, collecting issues #1-5 of the Comixology Originals series. Written by Stephanie Phillips and drawn by Conor Boyle, this psychological thriller follows “young, vibrant, and lonely American” Alex Greer as she travels alone through Europe in the ’60s.

One night, she walks into an Amsterdam club and the next morning wakes up to discover she’s been accused of murder. She’s later imprisoned for her alleged crime, but it’s all a farce for a top-secret CIA black site used for psychological experimentation. As Alex tries to escape, she must separate what’s real from what’s not under the duress of severe mental manipulation.

Black Site will be available everywhere books are sold on December 3, and it will be available in comic book shops on December 4. You can read the series digitally from Comixology Originals.

To kick off 2025, Dark Horse will print The All Nighter Vol. 3, which collects issues #11-15 and concludes the supernatural superhero tale. Written by Chip Zdarsky and drawn by Jason Loo, with colors by Paris Alleyne and letters by Frank Cvetkovic, The All Nighter follows the vampire superhero staff of the only 24-hour diner in town.

After Alex disappears, Ian, Cynthia, and Joy have no choice but to fight the Takers and save their friend. They’ll partner with unexpected new allies and truly fulfill their superhero roles for the first time, growing closer as both a team and a chosen family in the process.

The All Nighter Vol. 3 will be available everywhere books are sold on January 21, 2025, and it will be available in comic book shops on January 22, 2025. The All Nighter Vol. 1 and The All Nighter Vol. 2 are available now. You can also read the series digitally from Comixology Originals.
