A new Deadpool title is headed right for us next month, and it’s got a teaser and this one – by John Tyler Christopher – digs into our shared cultural heritage of images to parody the famous Coppertone ads which revealed the shocking paleness of a small child’s nether regions. Really, these ads were child exploitation.
Anyway, this teaser for Kelly Thompson and Chris Bachalo’s Deadpool #1 will have an older victim, Elsa Bloodstone, and don’t show any butt because that would not be PG-13. But there is Jeff the baby landshark, a kind of shark dog and that’s really cool. That’s because this is set on MONSTER ISLAND – which is actually Staten Island, and the social ramifications of that are so stupendous i can’t even.
Really what is happening here.
Also they say there may be a female Deadpool in the new movie? have you heard about that? Deadpool has been everything under creation since he debuted so that makes sense. Deadpool is all things to all people. I’m excited for Kelly to get a chance to write the new book though.
