As you may know, Marvel is re-[doing] their line with 60 new titles this fall. The whole line will be revealed soon (solicits are coming) but here's the line-up thus far -- we'll update as more is known. So far nine titles of the 60 or so have been announced, and the creative teams are unsurprising. No knock on the very talented people involved, just an observation. But who knows what the future holds? What do you think? Is this exciting? Or about what you expected?

While I was poking around the internet for the history of Marriott Hall the other day, I chanced upon some photos of San Diego in the 80s taken during and just after the construction of the Marriott Marquis and Marina. The first photo is prior to the hotel's completion in 1987. I'm not enough of an expert in San Diego history to know the history of the marina, but as you can see, it bears very little resemblance to the glitzy high rise neighborhood of today. There's no convention center, no Hyatt, no Embassy Suites, no Petco PArk, no Omni...nothing really.

The West Coast editorial shuffle continues as star Dark Horse's editor Sierra Hahn has just moved over to BOOM! where she'll have the title of Senior Editor starting July 1st. Reporting directly to E-i-C Mat Gagnon she'll develop new titles and help with mentoring Boom! younger staffers. Hahn is a much liked and respected editor so this is a nice get for BOOM! At Dark Horse she was the Joss Whedon wrangler as well as editor on projects including Green River Killer: A True Detective Story by Jeff Jensen and Jonathan Case, Two Brothers by Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá and more.
