Boing-Boing, the blog that made blogging cool, is publishing its first ongoing SFf comic...and it's the venerable indie comics classic Elfquest! Starting Monday, Boing Boing will serialize an all new Elfquest story by creators Richard and Wendy Pini:

Andrew Pepoy's Simone and Ajax is a charming long running strip about a woman pirate and her dinosaur. Pepoy's been working on it in various forms since the early 90s—a collection, The Adventures of Simone & Ajax, is available from IDW (a collection I never knew even existed until now) and Pepoy has now brought it back as a once a week webcomic. Bookmark.

Future comics by Jen Lee. Expect to see this everywhere by the end of the week. Amzing.

Creator Gar Molloy wrote to us to say it was the 10 Year anniversary of his webcomic Neko the Kitty, with over 900 strips completed. We're not too familiar with the comis, but it has a kitty and that's good enough for The Beat, especially when it means kitties doing the happy dance to celebrate.

Chris Miskiewicz and Dean Haspiel (making his return to the webcomic collective Act-i-vate) present Obambies Everywhere! which is...well I think you can figure it out.

RUN! DO NOT WALK! To Domatile Collardey's Wreckhall Abbey, a new comic about a private school for girls in the proud tradition of St. Trinians and more. Holy crap, this looks AMAZING.

You know how one day you had never heard of a thing and then the next day you heard about it three different places from completely different sources? Thus it is with The Beat and Connie Sun, an aspiring cartoonist who draws in between her day job in "higher education." Despite the "aspiring part" her comics are sweet and charming and will send you into the weekend with a smile.

I actually don't know anything about this, but the cover alone has got me. It's the creation of Brad McGinty.

A while ago we told you about a new service called Comic Rocket that had indexed over 2000 webcomics, and functioned as a portal to aggregate your webcomics reading in one handy place. Well since then they've added some 7000 comics by teaming up with Comic Fury, a free web-hosting service for webcomics. PR below:

Because bums are always funny, we couldn't resists linking to the Jef UK/ Paul Ahern webcomics Time Bum earlier today. But then we were reminded via Twitter that the great Michael Kupperman already did a Time Bum comic which you can read here and here and here and here.
